Praying Scripture

Father, in this moment, I draw near to You with a heart longing for restoration and renewal. I am keenly aware of my need for Your grace and mercy, as constant as the air I breathe [moment by moment, I depend on You]. I acknowledge You, Lord Jesus, as my King, my ultimate authority. I lay down every part of my life before You, surrendering wholly and unreservedly.

I offer up to You all that I am – my heart, my soul, my thoughts. I choose to live under the authority rule of  King Jesus. I entrust to You my spirit, soul, and body; my intellect, emotions, and will. I clothe myself in the protective power of Your blood over every aspect of my being.

I earnestly seek the guiding hand of Your Holy Spirit to bring restoration and direction in this sacred time of prayer. As I pray, I align myself completely with Your Spirit, standing in unity with those who intercede alongside me. Guided solely by Your Spirit, I enter this time of communion with You.

James 1:17 (CSB)

Every good and perfect gift is from above, coming down from the Father of lights, who does not change like shifting shadows.

Heavenly Father, we come before You with hearts full of gratitude, recognizing that every good thing in our lives is a gift from Your hands. Thank you, Lord, for the blessings You bestow upon us daily.

Lord, in a world that constantly changes, we are deeply thankful for Your steadfast love and the consistency of Your character. Thank You for being our unwavering source of light and truth. Help us to use these gifts in a way that honors You and reflects Your love to those around us. May we always be mindful of the source of all goodness in our lives and remain grateful, no matter the season we find ourselves in.

2 Corinthians 10:5 (CSB)

and every proud thing that is raised up against the knowledge of God, and we take every thought captive to obey Christ.

Lord, today I seek Your guidance to discern and capture every rogue and toxic thought that crosses my mind. According to 2 Corinthians 10:5, I strive to bring every thought into obedience to Christ. Help me to recognize thoughts that do not align with Your truth, and grant me the strength to redirect them towards You. Teach me to hold my thoughts accountable to the love and wisdom of Jesus, ensuring that my mind remains a place that honors You.

Philippians 4:8 (CSB)

Finally brothers and sisters, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable—if there is any moral excellence and if there is anything praiseworthy—dwell on these things.

Lord, in this day, guide my heart and mind to dwell on what is good and pure. As Philippians 4:8 teaches us, let my thoughts linger on what is true, honorable, just, pure, lovely, and commendable. If there is any virtue, if there is anything praiseworthy, plant in me the desire to focus on these things. Help me to see the beauty in Your truth and to seek Your Kingdom first above everything else. May my mind be a sanctuary of peace, reflecting a transformed Kingdom life.

Romans 12:2 (CSB)

Do not be conformed to this age, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may discern what is the good, pleasing, and perfect will of God.

Father, in the quiet of this moment, I ask for a profound transformation within me, a change that only You can bring about. In the spirit of Romans 12:2, I seek not to be molded by the fleeting patterns of this world but to be entirely transformed by the renewing of my mind. Lord, open my spiritual eyes and ears, that I may see and hear Your will in every aspect of my life.

Guide me, Lord, to understand what is good, pleasing, and perfect in Your eyes. Let my thoughts, my actions, and my heart align with Your Kingdom purposes. In every experience, may I sense Your direction and purpose, being transformed into the person You've called me to be.

[Lord, I confess my sins of __________ (name every sin you can think of) and ask you to forgive me of all my sins and cleans me from all unrighteousness.] 1 John 1:9 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.

[Lord, I ask you to grant me repentance from all my sins.] 2 Timothy 2:25 …Perhaps God will grant them repentance leading them to the knowledge of the truth. (see also Acts 11:18)

[Lord, help me today to] Run from anything that stimulates youthful lusts. Instead, [give me the desire to] pursue righteous living, faithfulness, love, and peace. [And to] Enjoy the companionship of those who call on the Lord with pure hearts. (2 Timothy 2:22)

[Thank you, Lord, for forgiving me of my sins, and by your power I will not live under sins condemnation, but rather in the joy of Your grace and mercy.] Romans 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus.

[Lord, give me the desire today to seek your Kingdom authority rule and righteousness first above everything else.] Matthew 6:33 But seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you.

[Lord, help me today not to be anxious about tomorrow.] Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not be anxious about tomorrow, for tomorrow will be anxious for itself. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Lord I pray your Kingdom come Your will be done here on earth and in my life as it is in Heaven.

[God give me Your wisdom to respond to my trials and life circumstances with Your Kingdom perspective and integrity. To make wise choices with every choice I make according to Your Kingdom plan.]

Philippians 4:6

[Today help me not to] worry about anything, but in everything, through prayer and petition with thanksgiving, [I will] present [my] requests to God.

[Lord, help me to deeply love others and give me the desire to show them honor in the way I treat them.] Romans 12:10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters. Out do one another in showing honor.

[Lord, convict me when I use foul language, when I’m critical and when I complain. And put a desire in my heart to speak encouragement to everyone.] Ephesians 4:29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

2 Corinthians 5:17

[I am] in Christ, [I am] a new creation; the old has passed away, and [I am] seeing that the new has come!

Ephesians 2:6

[God thank you for] raising [me] up with [Jesus] and seating [me] with him in the heavens in Christ Jesus,

Romans 8:39

39No power in the sky above or in the earth below—indeed, nothing in all creation will ever be able to separate [me] from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 Peter 5:7

[I am] casting all [my] cares on [you Lord], because [you] care about [me].

[Today, I pray the Kingdom rule and authority of Jesus over my family, my life and my thoughts (and any other concerns you may have).] Philippians 3:10 I want to know Christ and experience the mighty power that raised him from the dead…

[Christ is my life, and I proclaim that it is the life of Christ in me that gives me life.] Colossians 1:27 For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.

[I proclaim that the life-giving Spirit of Jesus has set me free me from the power of sin and death.] Romans 8:2 And because you belong to him, the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you from the power of sin that leads to death.

[I am joined with Jesus through my regeneration and I’m one spirit with Him.] 1 Corinthians 6:17 But the person who is joined to the Lord is one spirit with him.

[I am united with Christ Jesus and through Him I am in right standing with God and have been set free from the law of sin and death.]

1 Corinthians 1:30 God has united you with Christ Jesus. For our benefit God made him to be wisdom itself. Christ made us right with God; he made us pure and holy, and he freed us from sin.

[Jesus, I believe in you and I bring my life under Your Kingdom Authority rule and I pray that your river of life-giving water will flow to me and through me this day.] John 7:38 Anyone who believes in me may come and drink! For the Scriptures declare, ‘Rivers of living water will flow from his heart.’

Lord stir in my heart a desire to know Your will and Kingdom purpose for my life and for the Bridge Fellowship, to trust You anytime I find myself in the roundabout way through the wilderness (Ex. 13:18). To experience the joy of living Your Kingdom purpose right here and right now in this season of life.

1 Peter 4:11 (CSB)

11If anyone speaks, let it be as one who [Lord help me today to speak Your word] speaks God’s words; if anyone serves, let it be from [I serve with] the strength God [that You] provides, so that God [that You] may be glorified through Jesus Christ in everything. To him be the glory and the power forever and ever. Amen.
